Our Story
Hi all, My name is Hope I am 30 years old, I am the founder of Madewithlovebyhopehm. A small boutique business working from my dining table… and any other flat surface in the house. Based in Bexleyheath, Kent
How did it all start?
As a child I was forever making and designing with my Mum we made everything from salt dough to tissue paper pictures. I have always had an artistic flair and loved making new things. I started making crafts again whilst I was studying at university in 2010 to help pay for my studies. This then developed my desire to go into business so In 2013 with the help from my family, I launched Madewithlovebyhopehm. We have grown immensely in this time, as we aim to launch as many new lines as possible.
In the beginning, my designs were all handwritten but then within the short space of time it was becoming obvious that we could expand the business further which bought about the decision to buy our own laser machine, I have been fortunate that I have had support from all of my wonderful friends and family helping my business to grow. We love doing events where we get to speak to our customers one to one and get to know them individually. We have had the pleasure of meeting many new people through the business who we now have the pleasure to call friends. We have countless lovely customers returning time and time again, due to the personal touch we strive to deliver

The story continues…
I undertake a large percentage of the work myself and I’m very lucky to have such a supportive network of family and friends who are always helping in some way. It truly is a cottage industry at busy times like Christmas it wouldn’t be unknown to walk into my house to me designing work on the laser, my dad preparing materials for the laser, my mum ribboning, my partner putting them into bags and my sister pricing the items. Dinner going crispy in the oven and the dog barking. It’s teamwork in the true sense of the word, Yes as you can imagine a madhouse.
It is regularly being commented on that our products are of the highest standard and great value for money as we endeavour to meet individual needs at the lowest possible prices. Along with our business expanding so has our Family, In November 2019 we welcomed our newest member of the madewithlovebyhopehm team our wonderful baby boy…. Hudson. It’s been a hard journey as we have had the heartbreak of losing two babies York & Macy but we have tried to take away the smallest positives and have been supporting and fundraising for SANDS the charity through our work.
